Doctors: Health condiiton of the Albanian Church's Primate is critical

Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania is in critical condition, according to doctors at the Evangelismos Clinic in Athens. The Primate of the Albanian Church was transferred there from a hospital in Tirana, as reported by Orthodox Times with reference to orthodoxia.info.

A new statement issued by Evangelismos Hospital confirms that the Archbishop’s current state is critical, as assessed by the attending medical team.

Since December 30, Archbishop Anastasios had been hospitalized in Tirana due to a viral infection. However, his health deteriorated, with symptoms of gastrorrhagia, prompting the decision to transfer him to Evangelismos Hospital for advanced medical care..

As previously reported by the UOJ, on January 4, representatives of the Evangelismos Clinic in Athens issued their first health report on Archbishop Anastasios, stating that his condition was stable despite his complicated medical history.
