Christmas festivals of Ukrainian carols were held in the German cities of Leipzig and Hamburg with the participation of choirs from parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), as reported by the UOC Department for External Church Relations.
A charity concert in Leipzig was organized by the Holy Life-Giving Trinity Parish. The celebration on January 11 featured choirs from UOC parishes in Berlin, Nuremberg, Dresden, and Gera.
The event raised over 1,000 euros, which will be donated to residents of Kherson.
Following the festival, the Orthodox parish from Berlin organized a flash mob in Leipzig.
The festive Christmas event in Hamburg, held on January 12, featured Ukrainian choral ensembles from Northern Germany.
The festival brought together more than 200 attendees, including Ukrainians, Germans, Bulgarians, and Serbs.
As the UOJ previously reported, the Rivne Diocese used a charity concert to support children battling cancer.
