Seizure of the Near Caves of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra has begun!
Large numbers of police arrived with representatives of the governments cultural department - responsible for the seizure of other parts of the Lavra compound.
Sources on the ground claim that as of this report, police have already breached the outer gates of the Near Caves, using commercial grinders to cut locks and deadbolts.
The situation is developing and ongoing.
