Holy Trinity Publications introduces HTP App
JORDANVILLE, NY—On Tuesday, May 20, Holy Trinity Publications, publishing arm of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, N.Y., announced the release of its new HTP App.
“For better or worse, smartphones and tablets have become a part of daily life for nearly everyone, worldwide,” a release from Holy Trinity Publications states. “Priests everywhere relate numerous pastoral issues related to excessive use of social media and other online services.”
With this, the release states, an opportunity to replace wasted time scrolling through advertisements, AI-generated images and mindless memes can be replaced with a kathisma from the Psalter, a short prayer or a word of spiritual counsel.
Due to that, HTP has developed its own eReader app which will include the publication’s entire digital catalog.
To encourage use of the HTP app, any eBook purchased between now and May 27 will be offered for 90% off using the code “NewApp”.
“All eBooks purchased are tied to your email address and can be read on the HTP app on as many devices as you want,” the release states. “After purchasing an eBook, you will receive an email confirmation with instructions for downloading the app and entering your HTP account info. When you open the app, your book(s) will automatically be accessible under ‘My Books’.”
