UOC Church Hit Twice By Russian Shelling in Donbass

SHAKHOVE—The St. John the Theologian (UOC) was heavily damaged in the midst of continued hostilities in the Donetsk region. The Press Service of the Pokrovsk Vicariate reports that the church was hit by Russian shelling the morning of May 25, 2025, and several hours later as hostilities continued.
The Vicariate published photographs of the church after the first and second strikes. In the photos, it is evident that the church was essentially destroyed the second time.
As reported by the UOJ in Ukraine, on the night of May 24 to 25, 2025, the Church of All Saints of Chernihiv (UOC) was damaged during a sustained indirect fire upon the city by Russian forces.
