Antiochian Archdiocese Convention Scheduled for July in Chicago

JUNE 11, 2025 — The 57th Biennial Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese Convention is scheduled to be held July 20 - 27 in Chicago. Convention registration information, and other general information, can be found here.

Held at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, the week-long event will be hosted by Saint George Antiochian Church of Cicero, Illinois and the Shrine of the Miraculous Weeping Icon.

From the convention website:

“On April 22 of 1994, the parishioners of Saint George Church witnessed God’s glory as He restored and strengthened their faith. The Icon of the Theotokos on the Church’s Iconostasis began to shed tears. Countless thousands visited the Miraculous Weeping Icon since 1994. In 2025, convention attendees will be able to venerate this icon inside the chapel at the hotel.”

The convention will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the unification of New York and Toledo and the 120th anniversary of the Word Magazine.

The schedule for the convention includes services to be held at Saint George, dinners and luncheons, an “Ask Abouna” session, Bible study and confession, shrine visitation, workshops, ministry meetings, and more.
