THIRD LAKE — The Department of Youth Ministry of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of New Gracanica–Midwestern America has announced the 2025 Winter Youth Retreat, to be held Dec. 26–30, 2025, at the New Gracanica Monastery in Third Lake, Ill.
Each year, Orthodox high school students from across the diocese gather for several days of prayer, learning, and fellowship within the peaceful setting of the monastery. The retreat offers young people an opportunity to deepen their faith, form lasting friendships, and experience Orthodox life through worship, discussion, and service.
As shared by the diocese, the program will include:
- Daily prayer and Divine Liturgy
- Discussions and workshops led by clergy and guest speakers
- Fellowship activities and reflections
- Opportunities for confession and spiritual guidance
- Winter fun and community building
- Participants will stay on the monastery grounds, fully immersed in the life of the Church alongside peers who share their faith and values.
Registration is now open for youth who wish to attend and for volunteers.
