TRC Detains UOC Priest Serving Two Village Parishes

SYLNE — On Dec. 2, 2025, Ukraine's Territorial Recruitment Center detained Archpriest Serhii Saviievskyi, a cleric of the Volodymyr–Volyn Eparchy and rector of the parishes in the villages of Sylne and Hupaly, the diocese reports.
According to the diocese, the priest was taken directly from his workplace, passed through a military medical commission, and sent to the Rivne training ground. The diocese calls upon the faithful to pray for Archpriest Serhii.
Previously, UOJ reported that a UOC priest had been detained by military officials while en route to serve the Liturgy.
