Spots Open at New Gracanica's Winter Youth Retreat

THIRD LAKE, IL — A few additional spaces have opened for the Winter Youth Retreat at New Gracanica Monastery, organizers announced. Students in grades 9–12 who wish to attend the Dec. 26–30, 2025 retreat are encouraged to contact Dn. Jovan Anicic by text at 311-659-4723 to secure a spot.
As initially shared by the diocese, the program will include:
- Daily prayer and Divine Liturgy
- Discussions and workshops led by clergy and guest speakers
- Fellowship activities and reflections
- Opportunities for confession and spiritual guidance
- Winter fun and community building
- Participants will stay on the monastery grounds, fully immersed in the life of the Church alongside peers who share their faith and values.
Previously, UOJ reported that the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of New Gracanica–Midwestern America had announced the 2025 Winter Youth Retreat.
