Romanian Bishops Celebrate Feast Day and 75th Parish Anniversary at Michigan Parish

TROY — With the blessing of His Eminence Abp. Nathaniel, His Grace Bsp. Andrei of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) visited St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church in Troy, Michigan, on December 6, 2025, the Feast of Holy Hierarch Nicholas the Wonderworker.

As shared by the Romanian Episcopate, Bsp. Andrei officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy for the parish’s patronal feast, assisted by parish priest Rev. Fr. Radu Ciui, V. Rev. Fr. Stefan Vlad (Descent of the Holy Spirit, Warren), Rev. Fr. George Cautis (St. George Cathedral, Southfield), and Rev. Hdn. Benedict Oancea. An agape meal followed the service, open to all in attendance.

The next day, on the 27th Sunday after Pentecost, December 7, 2025, Abp. Nathaniel visited the parish for the celebration of its 75th anniversary. He officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy, assisted by Rev. Fr. Radu Ciui, Protopresbyter Laurence Lazar (retired), and Rev. Hdn. Benedict Oancea.
