Catholic Host of 'Roots of Orthodoxy' Says Orthodox Apologists are 'Disgusting', 'Trash'

DECEMBER 19, 2025 — Jonathan Cabada, the Roman Catholic vlogger who runs the YouTube channel 'Roots of Orthodoxy', recently issued a blistering tirade against Orthodox apologists:

When the shooting happened at the Annunciation [Catholic] Church, these guys were freaking silent. All of these Orthodox guys were silent. And that pisses me off.

They were silent until they found out that an Orthodox girl got shot. And that's when they started caring. They started caring only when they found out that Orthodox girl got shot.

You Orthodox apologists are absolutely freaking disgusting. You're a disgusting human being. You're trash. I'm not scared to say that.

You're a disgusting human being that you only cared about these kids—you didn't care about these kids. You only cared about the person who was Orthodox.

The Union of Orthodox Journalists reported on the Annunciation shooting before it was revealed that one of the victims was Orthodox.

The UOJ has previously discussed how Cabada uses his platform to criticize Orthodoxy.
