JAN. 2, 2026 — A new nonprofit based in California is seeking to become the Orthodox equivalent of the "Catholic Answers" web portal, offering a response to one of the most well-known Christian databases.
Orthodox Worldwide, which is co-founded by Nick of the "Fearless Truth" YouTube channel and Benjamin Langlois (Luigi) - Orthodox apologist and Secretary of the Society of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco - is a "digital platform offering reliable Orthodox teaching, theological education, and apologetic resources addressing Islam, Judaism, atheism, transhumanism, and other philosophies or worldviews that stand in contrast to Eastern Orthodox Christianity," according to the platform's website.
Aside from answering questions typed into the search bar on the home page, the site will also feature articles on Orthodox apologetics, various doctrinal topics, a parish finder, and more.
"Our purpose is to proclaim, teach, preserve, and apply the Orthodox Christian faith in fidelity to Holy Scripture, Holy Tradition, and the canonical teachings of the Eastern Orthodox Church," the website states. "Rooted in the Nicene–Constantinopolitan Creed and the dogmatic decrees of the Seven Ecumenical Councils, we seek to provide faithful Orthodox Christian education and resources to a global audience."
The site also gives a disclaimer that anything published on the platform does not constitute official ecclesiastical rulings, sacramental guidance, or individualized pastoral counseling. Users are encouraged to consult their parish priest, spiritual father, or canonical Orthodox clergy for personal spiritual matters, pastoral care, or sacramental guidance.
"This is just the beginning," Langlois said in a social media post announcing the launch of the platform.
Orthodox Worldwide is sustained solely through donations, which can be made here.
Previously, UOJ reported that the Catholic host of "Roots of Orthodoxy" said Orthodox apologists are "disgusting" and "trash" due to his perception that they did not care about the Annunciation Catholic School shooting in Minnesota until it was discovered that a young Orthodox girl was injured. UOJ reported on the tragedy before learning that an Orthodox Christian was harmed.
