Bp. Vasily Celebrates Old Calendar Nativity, Meets with Catechumens

COLORADO SPRINGS — On January 7, 2026, His Grace Bishop Vasily of the Orthodox Church in America's (OCA) Diocese of the West celebrated the Old Calendar Feast of the Nativity at Holy Theophany Orthodox Church in Colorado Springs. During his visit, he also met with the parish's catechumens, of which there are many.

Shortly after his consecration to the episcopacy in 2025, Bishop Vasily celebrated the Old Calendar Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God at the Nativity of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church in Menlo Park, California.

Previously, UOJ reported that Holy Theophany and its daughter parish, St. John the Baptist, are seeing exponential growth.
