BOSTON — Holy Epiphany Church marked the 75th anniversary of its founding with two days of jubilee celebrations on January 24–25, timed to coincide with the parish’s patronal feast of Theophany. Presiding over the services was Metr. Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
The celebrations were distinguished by the presence of the wonderworking Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God, which remained in the church throughout the services. Metr. Nicholas led the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy with a large gathering of hierarchs, clergy, and visiting priests from across the United States and abroad.
During the Divine Liturgy, multiple ordinations and ecclesiastical awards were conferred, including priestly and diaconal ordinations for clergy who will continue serving the parish. Despite a citywide parking ban ahead of a snowstorm, the church was filled, and more than 200 faithful later attended a festive banquet, underscoring the parish’s vitality as it looks toward its centennial future.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Metr. Nicholas led the 75th anniversary celebration of St. Sergius Cathedral in Cleveland.
