UOC Chancellor: Prayer for peace is the most important thing now

Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich) of Boryspil and Brovary, the UOC Chancellor, appealed to believers to unite and pray for peace. The appeal was published on the hierarch's Facebook page.

"In times of any dramatic, most terrible events, we must first of all remember that we are Christians. And the thought of the Lord must precede all our other thoughts," said the hierarch.

Metropolitan Anthony noted that the main weapon of a Christian remains prayer. And the more difficult the situation, the stronger it should be.

"Now the Church stays with its people and prays for peace. Prayer for the people, prayer for peace is what is most important right now," the UOC Chancellor urged the faithful.

As reported, eparchies of the UOC are praying for peace in Ukraine.
