LOMBARD, IL — The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago announced on March 17, 2026, that it has finalized the purchase of 1290 North Clybourn Avenue in Chicago, establishing a permanent home for its Metropolis Offices. The announcement coincided with the anniversary of Metr. Nathanael’s ordination to the episcopacy.
The acquisition follows approvals from the Metropolis Council, the 2025 Clergy-Laity Assembly delegates, and the Executive Committee of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, marking the conclusion of a multi-year effort to secure a location that supports the growth and mission of the Metropolis. Metr. Nathanael expressed deep gratitude to clergy and laity for their support, emphasizing renewed commitment to serve Christ and the faithful throughout Chicago.
Plans for relocation, as well as the formal blessing and dedication of the new offices, will be announced in the coming weeks.
