Archpriest Georgy Malysh, the rector of the seized Church of the icon of the Mother of God "Vsetsaritsa" in the village of Tseniava, spoke about the persecution that the radicals organized against the UOC parish, reports the press service of the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy.
According to the priest, the excesses of the radicals know no limits and cannot be described.
“We must give a clear answer to the slander that is rolling like a snowball on us. On February 28, the parishioners of the Church of the icon of the Mother of God "Vsetsaritsa" were forced to leave the walls of their native temple under pressure from radical forces. The outrage that took place is impossible to describe. Tears and despair bind the heart. But our enemies do not stop there, they launched the so-called flash mob "to drive out enemies from the rear". Slander and false information are still being poured on us,” said the rector of the church in Tseniava in an address to the clergy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy.
“Nuns and women, who baked prosphora and bread, lived at our temple. The church could host overnight visitors and feed them. For this, we prepared сanned food, about which there are now rumours on the Internet that these are ‘combat rations for sabotage groups’,” the priest added.
Father Georgy said that the believers filed an application addressed to the head of the State National Police Department in Ivano-Frankivsk Region, Serhiy Bespalko, in which they described all the details of the events and the inaction of the local police.
“We reported about the searches conducted by the SBU officers, as a result of which nothing was found, it was confirmed in the act of the conducted searches. We hope that our authorities will pay attention to the excesses against our temples and will take appropriate measures,” said Archpriest Georgy Malysh.
As previously reported, the information about the food stock found in the temple of the village of Tseniava is fake.
