MP: UOC communities must join OCU without noise and shouting
MP of the 8th and 9th convocations Ihor Huz said on his Facebook page that the UOC should not be in the "new Ukraine" and said that its communities should move to the OCU "without noise and shouting".
Huz said that he organized a project to "intensify the process of transition" of the UOC communities to the OCU "recognized by world Orthodoxy".
According to the MP, "it is clear to everyone that the UOC MP is subordinate to the Russian Orthodox Church" and incriminated that "very many churches still commemorate Patriarch Kirill". "Therefore, unequivocally, there can be no Moscow Church in the new Ukraine after our victory," Huz said. He recounted a meeting with Dumenko, with whom "we discussed this process" (the transfer of UOC communities to the OCU – Ed).
The MP said that the Russian Federation has destroyed hundreds of churches in eastern Ukraine, and therefore there is "no discussion" about the transfers: "I would very much like unity to take place calmly, without noise and shouting". Huz "would very much like to see those hundreds of thousands of warriors... returning to their homes saw the presence of the Church subordinate to Moscow".
Earlier, a criminal case under the article "fraud" was launched against Ihor Huz, who agreed with Dumenko to step up the transfer of UOC communities to the OCU.
