Rector of the transferred church in Ivankiv does not let the invaders in

In the village of Ivankiv, Kyiv region, the rector of the Transfiguration Church does not allow the people who made their property claims against the church on the basis of a fictitious meeting to enter the courtyard.

According to "Glavkom", Ivankiv residents "supported the transfer of the religious community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the OCU", but the rector resisted. Stating that the meeting was illegitimate and that the state should not interfere in the church affairs, he and the parishioners of the church blocked the gates, preventing the OCU supporters led by their cleric from passing. Also, Father Igor advised the schismatics to build a new church "if they need their own church so much”.

As reported, on 21 May 2022, raiders from the OCU seized the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (UOC) in Ivankiv.
