Boryspil Сity Сouncil suspends activities of the "Moscow Patriarchate"
On June 13, the deputies of the Boryspil City Council at an extraordinary session decided to "suspend the activities of the UOC-MP" for the duration of the Russian aggression. This was reported by the "European Solidarity - Boryspil Organization" Facebook page. The issue was submitted for consideration by the mayor of the city Vladimir Borisenko. All 29 deputies voted for the decision.
The city council made this decision without further discussion, citing "numerous cases of collaborationism on the part of the priests of the UOC."
The decision of the city council says "on the organization of the protection of the MP (Moscow Patriarchate – Ed.) properties – religious buildings, and the introduction of a special regime for their work", as well as a ban on meetings, rallies, religious processions and other mass events.
The deputies have already appealed to the head of the Boryspil district military administration to issue a relevant order.
Recall that by the decision of the session of the Brovary City Council dated May 6, 2022, the activities of the UOC in Brovary were suspended for the duration of martial law. Later, the Boryspil diocese of the UOC emphasized that the ban has no legal force.
As the UOJ reported, in the village of Petropavlivske, Boryspil district, schismatics threaten the parishioners and the priest of the UOC and gather the villagers on June 18 to transfer the church to the Dumenko-led structure.
