SOC Primate to Met Onuphry: You are an evangelical example of love for God
The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, congratulated the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, on the eighth anniversary of his ministry at the Kyiv metropolitan see. This was reported by the press service of the DECR UOC.
Patriarch Porfirije called His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry a zealous and self-sacrificing shepherd.
"You set an example of evangelical love for our Lord Jesus Christ, who is perfect peace and perfect love, and for the flock entrusted to you, who testify with their lives that no one will separate them from the Love of Christ. We pray to the Lord that you always abide in His gracious gifts, and that He strengthens you in good health for the jubilation of all of us and mostly of the pious clergy and the faithful flock of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church," wrote the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Onuphry received a congratulation from the Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
