His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry has appointed the interim head of the Romny Eparchy – Metropolitan Roman of Konotop and Hlukhiv Roman. The corresponding decree was published on the Facebook page of the Konotop Eparchy.

The Romny Eparchy was founded by the decision of the Synod of the UOC of 25 September 2013, by separation from the Sumy and Konotop eparchies.

It unites parishes on the territory of Buryn, Lypova Dolyna, Nedrigailiv and Romny districts of the Sumy region of Ukraine.

As earlier reported, Metropolitan Onuphry of Kharkiv and Bogodukhiv, the interim head of the Izium Eparchy, met with the clergy of the eparchy.
