Polish Church Council speaks about “Dumenko’s destructive activity”

The Council of Bishops of the Polish Orthodox Church, held on October 25, 2022 under the leadership of His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland, spoke out about the destructive activities of the head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, the official website of the POC reports.

The Council's communiqué emphasizes that "Orthodoxy in Ukraine is divided, and believers often feel lost."

“As for the destructive activities of the so-called ‘metropolitan’ Epifaniy, the Council of Bishops of the Polish Orthodox Church maintains its position,” expressed in earlier resolutions, according to which Dumenko is a layman.

The Holy Bishops' Council called on the faithful to continue to pray for peace in Ukraine, an end to the war and an end to the division (schism) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to the Primate of the Polish Church, Metropolitan Sawa, Epifaniy Dumenko is a layman and needs to be ordained.
