MP: Believers themselves will take Lavras from UOC

Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk

The mass seizures of lavras and churches will begin soon, MP Igor Mosiychuk declared on his Facebook page.

“The believers themselves will take them away from the schismatics,” the people's deputy wrote.

The next post on the fate of church property Mosiychuk posted on his wall 14 hours later. He calls upon the state to hand over “all without exception religious buildings which are in state ownership” to the Single Local Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“Not a single state-owned church can be in the use of the sect of schismatics!” said Mosiychuk.

President Petro Poroshenko warned that those who will call to take over the Lavra, a monastery or a church are Moscow agents.
