WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Orthodox Church in America (OCA) has kicked off its 2025 stewardship campaign, with Met. Tikhon designating November 9, 2025, as Steward Sunday. This dedicated day calls on the faithful to contribute financially, supporting the Church's vital ministries, departments, and offices throughout North America.
In his official message, Metropolitan Tikhon emphasizes how donations fuel essential programs. These include liturgical music and texts from the Department of Liturgical Music and Translations, clergy support and wives' initiatives through the Office of Pastoral Life, and educational resources developed by the Department of Christian Education.
Leading up to Steward Sunday, the OCA will share inspiring stories and reflections on its social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, and Telegram) highlighting the direct impact of supporter contributions on various ministries.
The appeal stresses that every gift, regardless of amount, transforms donors into Stewards of the OCA, sustaining its mission.
Secure online donations are encouraged at: oca.org/donate
Recently, the UOJ reported on a GoFundMe campaign that was launched to support an Alaskan priest and his family, who lost everything they owned in the recent floods.
