Dormition Cathedral of Kherson again affected by RF’s shelling
The entrance doors and windows were damaged, and the walls were cut with shrapnel.
On 4 February 2024, the Dormition Cathedral of the UOC in Kherson suffered from Russia’s shelling, reports the press service of the Kherson Eparchy. The head of the Kherson RMA Oleksandr Prokudin also posted a video of the damaged temple on his Facebook page.
According to the eparchy, one of the shells fell on the temple territory. As a result, the entrance doors were damaged, the windows were broken, and the walls and steps to the porch were cut with shrapnel.
As earlier reported, on the night of 14 December 2023, two churches of the UOC in Kherson – the Dormition Cathedral and the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos – suffered from Russia’s shelling.
