AUGUST 13, 2025 – The Department of Sacred Music for the Antiochian Archdiocese has announced the Fall 2025 semester of the Antiochian Orthodox Ecclesiastical Online Music School, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Saba. This program offers educational opportunities for Orthodox church musicians and clergy to enhance their skills in sacred music and liturgical practices.

Program Overview

  • Byzantine and Choral Music Courses: Designed for both new and experienced church musicians, focusing on Orthodox sacred music traditions.
  • Clergy Course: A class covering intoning exclamations, chanting the Gospel, and hymns for Sundays and major feasts.
  • Typicon Course: Instruction on organizing divine services according to the Typicon.
  • Semester Schedule: The Fall 2025 semester runs from September 8 to December 19, 2025, with a mid-semester break. Classes meet weekly for one-hour sessions.
