Decades-long translation project by Holy Trinity Publications concludes with release of “The Harvest."

JORDANVILLE — More than 50 years after the first English edition of St. Ignatius Brianchaninov’s writings appeared, the complete series of his collected works has now been published in English by Holy Trinity Publications (HTP). The newly released final volume, "The Harvest: Spiritual Nourishment for the Church Year," features 52 sermons by the 19th-century saint for Sundays, Great Lent, Paschaltide, and other occasions.

The translation project began in 1971, when Fr. Lazarus Moore published "The Arena" — his English rendering of "An Offering to Contemporary Monasticism" — which became a classic among Orthodox readers. The effort was revived in 2016 with the publication of "The Field," "The Refuge," and "The Threshold," leading to the recent completion of the series with "The Harvest."

Project organizers described the publication as a milestone in making the spiritual wisdom of St. Ignatius accessible to English-speaking Orthodox Christians.

“May we have St. Ignatius’s prayers for the continued enlightenment and sanctification of Orthodox Christians throughout the world!” HTP said.

"The Harvest," along with the rest of St. Ignatius' translated works, can be purchased here.
