How Do I Know if I’m Ready to Become Orthodox?

Readiness isn't a feeling — it's a few honest questions.

Many who find Orthodoxy wonder if they're ready to join the Church. Often, they fear they don't know enough, aren't holy enough, or still have unanswered questions. These concerns are understandable, but no one arrives at the Church having already completed the journey. Joining is not the destination; it's the first step of a lifelong path.

What readiness is not

Let’s start here: readiness is not having passed some great spiritual exam. It is not complete theological knowledge, a perfectly ordered life, every doubt resolved, a dramatic conversion story, or some loud public declaration of faith.
