HCHC Campus to Host Conference on the Life and Legacy of Abp. Anastasios of Albania
Scholars, hierarchs, and missionaries will gather in March to reflect on the missionary, theological, and ecumenical contributions of the late Albanian Orthodox leader.
BROOKLINE, MA — An international conference dedicated to the life and legacy of Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania will take place from March 2-4, 2026, at the Maliotis Cultural Center of Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC).
Titled “ANASTASIOS – Missionary, Theologian, Archbishop,” the conference will explore the enduring impact of Archbishop Anastasios, widely regarded as a visionary church leader who "dedicated his life to evangelical outreach, ecumenical reconciliation, and interfaith coexistence," an announcement from the Huffington Ecumenical Institute states.
The program will feature prominent Orthodox hierarchs, theologians, and missionaries from around the world, offering academic and pastoral perspectives on his work and legacy.
The conference is sponsored by the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at HCHC in cooperation with The Missions Institute for Orthodox Christianity. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the organizers at [email protected].
In an email to the Union of Orthodox Journalists of America, the Huffington Ecumenical Institute said it hopes to post the conference's full program soon.
