Macedonian Orthodox Parish in Germany Celebrates First Episcopal Liturgy
A first episcopal Liturgy in Fulda marks a historic step for the Macedonian Orthodox community in Germany.
FULDA, GERMANY — The newly established Three Holy Hierarchs Macedonian Orthodox parish marked a milestone on February 15 with its first episcopal Divine Liturgy, celebrated for the feast of the Meeting of the Lord.
His Eminence Metr. Pimen of Europe presided over the service, concelebrated by clergy of the Macedonian Orthodox Diocese of Europe. In his archpastoral address, he reflected on the spiritual meaning of the feast as the meeting of the Old and New Testaments and the encounter between God and man, urging the faithful to receive Christ with purity, faith, and love. He also emphasized unity and the preservation of faith and identity in the diaspora.
Numerous faithful attended the Liturgy, many receiving Holy Communion. The new mission brings the Diocese’s total to 15 parishes in Germany, strengthening church life for Macedonians across Europe.
Previously, the UOJ reported that the Primate of the Macedonian Church marked the 60th anniversary of an Ohio parish.
