KERNERSVILLE, NC — Holy Cross Orthodox Church will host a public lecture by Jonathan Pageau on Thursday, March 19, at 7 p.m., inviting all to attend without registration.

Pageau’s talk, titled “Orthodox Beauty, Secular Culture,” will explore themes of symbolism, religion, and Eastern Orthodox Christianity. A French-Canadian icon carver and public speaker, Pageau is widely known for his work engaging contemporary culture through traditional Christian symbolism.

He serves as editor of the Orthodox Arts Journal, hosts the Symbolic World blog and podcast, and is founder of Symbolic World Press. The event is open to the public and organizers encourage parishioners and community members alike to attend.

Previously, the UOJ reported that Orthodox teens gathered for the first Sacred Arts Conference sponsored by Saint Emmelia Ministries.
