Search Committee Formed to Find Next HCHC President
Hellenic College Holy Cross launches a nationwide search for a new president to lead its next chapter of Orthodox education and clergy formation.
BROOKLINE, MA — The Board of Trustees of Hellenic College Holy Cross (HCHC), under the chairmanship and spiritual guidance of Abp. Elpidophoros, has formed a seven-person search committee to find the next president of the school as it approaches 90 years of educating and forming Church leaders in the United States.
The committee, co-chaired by George C. Demos and Dr. Christine Geranios Zeppos, includes trustees, clergy, and institutional representatives. Their work will follow a 9–12 month process, incorporating structured listening sessions and surveys engaging hierarchs, clergy, faculty, students, alumni, parish leaders, and key partner organizations. The goal is to recruit a leader who can guide HCHC’s mission of forming Orthodox clergy while expanding graduate programs in theology, counseling, and other helping professions.
Interim President Rev. Fr. Michael Lambakis currently leads the school. The search process emphasizes transparency, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to identifying a visionary leader for the next chapter of HCHC.
Previously, the UOJ reported that HCHC approved a major land sale to bolster its endowment and future growth.
