DOMSE Opens Applications for 2026 Scholarship Program
The Diocese of Miami and the Southeast is once again offering scholarships to help Orthodox high school graduates begin their college studies.
MIAMI — Applications have officially opened for the 2026 Diocese of Miami and the Southeast (DOMSE) Scholarship Program, which provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors pursuing higher education within the region.
Established in 2021 under the leadership of Bp. Nicholas, the annual scholarship program is available to students who are active members of parishes within the Diocese of Miami and the Southeast. The initiative is intended to support Orthodox Christian students as they begin their college careers while encouraging continued engagement with the life of the Church.
To qualify, applicants must reside in one of nine states served by the diocese: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee. Students must also be members in good standing of a DOMSE parish, regularly attend parish life, and have graduated from high school during the 2025–2026 academic year.
Eligible applicants must have been accepted and enrolled as incoming freshmen for the Fall 2026 semester at a college or university located within one of the diocesan states. Church officials are encouraging interested students to review the scholarship rules and application requirements and submit their materials before the deadline of July 1st.
The scholarship program remains one of the diocese's key efforts to invest in the educational and spiritual development of young Orthodox Christians throughout the Southeast.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Holy Cross seniors continued their pilgrimage in Constantinople.
