NYACK, NY — Registration has opened for the 2026 General Assembly of the Eastern American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), scheduled for Oct. 21–23 at Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, New York.

The triennial diocesan meeting will include reports on the state of the diocese, finances, audits, and diocesan policies and procedures. Elections for the Diocesan Council and Auditing Committee are also scheduled. Clergy serving as priests and deacons are delegates and are encouraged to attend, while parishes may designate lay delegates according to the number of assigned clergy, with a maximum of four lay delegates per parish.

The assembly will begin Wednesday evening with registration and dinner. Thursday’s program will include a moleben, the opening address, reports and presentations, a question-and-answer session, elections, dinner, and Vigil.

On Friday, clergy will gather at Holy Dormition Convent “Novo-Diveevo” in nearby Nanuet for a Divine Liturgy and trapeza. All clergy are expected to bring their own green vestments. Several nearby hotels have reserved room blocks for participants, with rates ranging from $125 to $154 per night.
