Holy Trinity Monastery Announces Annual Labor Day Pilgrimage
Holy Trinity Monastery will welcome pilgrims for a Labor Day weekend of prayer, devotion, and spiritual renewal before the close of summer.
JORDANVILLE — Holy Trinity Monastery has announced its annual Labor Day weekend pilgrimage, inviting the faithful to gather for three days of worship and spiritual rest in honor of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God and St. Job of Pochaev.
The pilgrimage will be held Saturday through Monday, Sept. 5-7, with a full schedule of Divine services, including Divine Liturgies, an All-Night Vigil, molebens, an akathist to St. Job of Pochaev, Vespers, Matins, and Small Compline.
On Sunday, the 14th Sunday after Pentecost, an early Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in the lower church dedicated to St. Job of Pochaev, followed by the main Divine Liturgy and a moleben to the Theotokos and St. Job. The weekend will conclude Monday with the greeting of the Bishop and Divine Liturgy.
In his invitation, Bp. Luke encouraged the faithful to consider the pilgrimage an opportunity for spiritual rest as the summer season draws to a close. Holy Trinity Monastery has long maintained the tradition of welcoming pilgrims over Labor Day weekend for the feast.
