Scriptorium Initiative to Host Weekly Bible Study With Holy Cross Dean
Holy Cross Dean Rev. Dr. Eugen J. Pentiuc will lead a weekly online Bible Study beginning October 15 as part of The Scriptorium Initiative.
BROOKLINE, MA — Rev. Dr. Eugen J. Pentiuc, Dean of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and Distinguished Professor of Biblical Studies, will lead a weekly Bible Study beginning Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 7 p.m. Eastern via Zoom.
The study is part of The Scriptorium Initiative at Holy Cross, a program funded by Lilly Endowment. The weekly sessions are open to seminarians, clergy, Orthodox faithful, seekers, and anyone interested in exploring how Scripture is read, interpreted, and lived within the Orthodox Christian tradition.
Participants will meet online every Thursday at 7 p.m. Eastern. The initiative seeks to provide an opportunity for participants to engage more deeply with Scripture while examining its place within the life and tradition of the Orthodox Church.
Registration and additional information are available through The Scriptorium Initiative website. A recurring Zoom link has also been provided for those participating in the weekly study.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Holy Cross launched a course on the Orthodox theology of marriage.
