St. Vladimir’s Seminary will offer a free online day of Orthodox education addressing theology, ministry, AI, internet apologetics, suffering, and Church growth.

YONKERS, NY — St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary will host Orthodox Education Day on Aug. 29, offering a free virtual program featuring six sessions on contemporary issues in Orthodox faith and life.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. EDT and will include presentations by seminary faculty, alumni, and guest scholars. Participants may attend the entire program or select individual sessions, with opportunities to submit questions to the speakers.

Topics will range from theological and pastoral concerns to emerging challenges facing the Church. Sessions will examine Christian unity in a divided world, the experience of seminary alumni serving in parishes, the Book of Job and the meaning of suffering, and the implications of artificial intelligence for Orthodox Christians.

A final session will consider the growth of Orthodoxy in North America, including ministry needs and how seminaries can respond to increasing demand for clergy and lay leadership.

Registration is free, and all donations connected with Orthodox Education Day will benefit St. Vladimir’s Seminary’s general scholarship fund.

Previously, the UOJ reported that St. Vladimir’s Seminary hosted a CrossRoad summer session.
