Metr. Constantine Blesses New Colorado Springs Parish Site
Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church advanced its relocation efforts with a formal blessing of its new Colorado Springs property.
COLORADO SPRINGS — The Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church marked a major milestone in its 2026 relocation effort as His Eminence Metr. Constantine of Denver performed the Small Blessing of Water and blessed the parish’s newly acquired building and property. The blessing signaled an important step forward following the parish’s earlier announcement of a capital campaign and renovation plans for the new site.
The event also introduced Fr. Andreas Pavlakos, the parish’s new Chancellor, who joined Metr. Constantine for the blessing and pastoral visit. Parish leaders expressed gratitude for the event, describing it as a sign of continued growth and blessing for the expanding community. The new facility is intended to become the parish’s long-term spiritual home.
Earlier plans outlined a Phase One renovation goal of $350,000, supported by a $50,000 matching challenge to develop worship, fellowship, and children’s spaces. The blessing now marks the transition from acquisition into active liturgical use and development.
