Сommunity of Pokrovsky Cathedral of Izmail expresses loyalty to UOC

The congregation of the Pokrovsky Cathedral of Izmail

On February 10, 2019, a meeting of the religious community of the Pokrovsky Cathedral of Izmail was held, reports the press service of the Odessa eparchy.

The meeting was chaired by the rector of the Pokrovsky Cathedral, Protopriest Yevgeny Poleschuk. The clergy and parishioners discussed topical issues of the Church life and exchanged views on legislative changes in the religious sphere.

The participants of the meeting unanimously voted for the preservation of the canonical prayer communion with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and expressed unanimous support for its Primate, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine.

As the UOJ reported, several religious communities of the Odessa eparchy unanimously confirmed that they remain in the bosom of the canonical Church.
