Adults and very young parishioners of the UOC church in honor of St. Basil the Great in the village of Doroshovtsy, Zastavna district, Chernovtsy region, recorded a video message in which they urged not to take away the opportunity to pray to God in their own church, which has already been the case in 4 temples of Zastavna district.
“We pray to our Supreme Lord that our children grow up to be real Christians!” says the appeal of believers. “A temple is the best place for education. Children get to know the church history, the history of the Nativity of Christ. On Good Friday, they ask tearfully why Christ was crucified, while at Easter they sing joyfully ‘Christ is Risen’. We don't want to lose this!”
The believers remind: the future of children depends on adults and the future of adults depends on their children.
“We plead God that we always enjoy this opportunity – to serve in our church every Sunday, every great holiday, so that no one takes away our future from us!” emphasize the parishioners of the UOC temple in Doroshovtsy.
Recall that in the Zastavna district of Chernovtsy region, 4 churches have already been seized from the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church: in the villages of Goroshovtsy, Boyanchuk, Dobrynovtsy and Tovtry. Archimandrite Nikita (Storozhuk), Secretary of Chernovtsy-Bukovina Consistory, told representatives of the OSCE Monitoring Mission about the difficult religious situation in Zastavna district.
