Believers of the Volyn village of Nuyno of the Kamen-Kashirsk district, whose churches were taken over by OCU supporters, appealed to President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky with a request to protect their right to freedom of religion. The video is published on the “1Kozak” YouTube channel.
In their video message, believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church told the President that they had been raising money for the repair of these churches for about 30 years, “for the good of the Church”.
However, one of their parishioners says, “now they have kicked us out of the temple! Nobody needs us! We pray in the house. Our children faint, it is very hot in a small room, people get bad."
Therefore, the believers decided to turn to Vladimir Zelensky with a request for help: “Help us as the head of state, as President! If you have any love for us, for people. If you have any fear of God! Help us! The village authorities hate us! We can't live like this anymore! Help us!"
As reported earlier, in the village of Nuyno, the OCU activists took away both rural churches from the UOC believers. Such actions of the schismatics, who were supported by the village authorities, forced the representatives of the canonical Church to block the road as a sign of protest and demand to stop the lawlessness.
