On November 29, 2019, at the Phanar, the Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, Theodore II, met at the divine service on the occasion of the patronal festival of the Patriarchate of Constantinople with the press secretary of the OCU, Eustraty Zoria, Greek edition Romfea reports.

In particular, it is reported that at the end of Vespers, the representative of the OCU, Eustraty Zoria, thanked the Patriarch for the recognition of the OCU and conveyed greetings on behalf of Epiphany Dumenko.

In turn, the Patriarch of Alexandria conveyed the words of gratitude to Dumenko, saying that "few people can understand Ukraine and boast of it as much as I do."

In addition, he said that the recognition of the OCU by the Alexandrian Patriarchate took place because Patriarch Theodore had decided to “follow in the footsteps of the Most Sacred Mother Church”, which felt the pulse of the OCU as a “martyr church”.

The head of the Patriarchate of Alexandria also said that Epiphany Dumenko is a “modest man” and his “church” will “prosper”.

Recall that earlier, Eustraty Zoria accused Patriarch Theodore of corruption and called his words against his structure and in support of the UOC “Alexandrian plugola”.
