Participants in the cross procession, which took place on the feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy in Vinnytsia, were asked to describe His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and all Ukraine in a few words. In response, correspondents for the “1Kozak” channel heard that Metropolitan Onuphry was “our father” and “a holy man”.

“Peace, love, respect,” “Humility, piety, fidelity,” “Calm, judicious, peaceful” – these are the most accurate characteristics of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“Love, kindness, respect. Yes, it’s true,” a parishioner of the Vinnytsia Eparchy told the reporters. “We really see this in him, in his sermons, instructions. We see how he supports us with his sermons, strengthens us in the steadfastness of the faith we stand on. Therefore, we are grateful for the Lord to send him to us."

According to another participant in the religious procession, His Beatitude Onuphry can be described in one word – “father”.

“The father, the one whom we want to nestle to, to talk about problems, to complain, and you know that he will support. Although I’ve never talked to him, there are such feelings that if you come with a problem, you will be heard,” she emphasized.

“This is a holy man!” says another participant in the festive Orthodox procession.

As reported, on March 8, on the Feast of Orthodoxy, more than 7,000 believers of the Vinnytsia Eparchy of the UOC held a prayer procession, confirming their allegiance to the UOC and its Primate – His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.
