On the eve of the next court hearing in the case of the dismantling of the Vladimir-Olginsky Church of the Tithes Monastery of the UOC, its inhabitants called on the faithful to offer up prayers for the monastery, reports desyatynniy.com.
“The brethren of the Tithes Monastery asks all the faithful children of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to offer their solemn prayers for our monastery. We especially ask you to intensify the prayer ‘for admonition’ of Judge Dmitry Baranov," the monastery stressed.
As reported by the UOJ, the previous meeting of the Kyiv Economic Court on the case of the Tithes Monastery was held on February 8, 2023. The representative of the UOC announced the removal of Judge Dmitry Baranov, referring to his bias, but the court rejected the application. The court session was postponed to February 15 – the feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko, who supports the lawsuit to demolish the Vladimir-Olginsky temple, expects the court to make a decision on that day.
Earlier, the brethren of the Tithes Monastery recalled that the Lord immediately executes judgment on those who raise their hand to the shrine.
