On 1 April 2023, the Shevchenkivsky Court of Kyiv imposed a measure of restraint on Metropolitan Pavel, the Lavra abbot, in the form of a two-month round-the-clock house arrest in a village near Kyiv, with wearing an electronic bracelet, reports the Telegram channel Strana.ua.

The Prosecutor's motion to ban the recording of public videos with subsequent publication was rejected by the court.

The court also dismissed Metropolitan Pavel's defence motion to attend services at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

According to Metropolitan Pavel, there is no communication, no heat, no light, and no mug or spoon at the address where he is to serve his sentence.
