On 6 April 2023, the Lviv authorities ordered that St. Prince Volodymyr’s Church (UOC) be demolished with an excavator.

The head of the Lviv OMA, Maxim Kozytskyi, published video footage of the demolition, and later a full video of the destruction of the Orthodox church appeared on the Internet.

The video shows an excavator breaking down St. Volodymyr’s Church, with young people shouting "Shame!".

Someone in the background also commented: "Look at the future of Ukraine – a church being demolished and they are rejoicing".

Earlier the UOJ wrote that in Lviv, the authorities in Lviv demolished the last church of the UOC using an excavator.
