On August 30, during the Odessa Pride-2020 festival, a group of aggressive young people sprayed gas and threw eggs at the participants of the LGBT parade, the press service of the National Police in the Odessa region reports.
As a result of the clashes, two policemen were injured and were taken away by an ambulance. 16 offenders were detained and taken to the police station.
The police note that they can initiate a criminal case of violence against a law enforcement officer, but so far they have drawn up protocols only on administrative violations.
The attackers are members of Tradition and Order, a political movement that positions itself as a defender of Christian and national values.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the believers of the UOC prayed for the abolition of the LGBT parade in Zaporizhia.
