Phanar hierarch and UGCC head discuss ecumenical dialogue and cooperation

On December 15, 2020, the hierarch of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, Metropolitan Emmanuel (Adamakis), within the framework of the "courtesy visit" met with the head of Ukrainian Greek Catholics Sviatoslav Shevchuk, reports the UGCC Information Department.

The Phanar hierarch thanked the head of the UGCC for the congratulatory letter that the latter had sent to Patriarch Bartholomew the day before and discussed with him "the state of modern ecumenical dialogue at the global and local levels".

Having expressed hope for further cooperation, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.

Earlier, a theologian of the OCU said when his structure will merge with the UGCC.
