His Beatitude officiates liturgy on the day of his hierarchical ordination

On the 33rd anniversary of his episcopal consecration, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, officiated the Divine Liturgy at the Feofaniya Convent, according to the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

On December 9, 2023, marking the 33rd anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, a festive service took place at the Panteleimon Convent (Feofaniya).

The Primate was concelebrated by hierarchs of the UOC, clergy from Kyiv, and guests from other dioceses in the priesthood.

During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukrainian lands, for our people, authorities, and soldiers. The abbesses of the UOC monastic communities also prayed during the liturgy. The liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary under the direction of Hieromonk Ioasaf (Myronov).

After the dismissal, Metropolitan Serhiy of Ternopil and Kremenets, on behalf of the Holy Synod, delivered a welcoming speech to His Beatitude. The Primate thanked everyone for their common prayer and greetings.

Earlier, the Serbian Patriarch congratulated Metropolitan Onuphry on the anniversary of his consecration.
